Note: The key to this fly is the slim appearance,varnish, and tungsten bead. This allows the fly to sink through the water column very quickly while maintaining an appearance close to a real midge. The Two-Tone Zebra has worked wonders in heavily pressured waters where the fish see many flies. For whatever reason I do not see a lot of fisherman using the zebra midge with two tones and it is that simple distinction that causes even heavily pressured trout to be enticed by this gem.
