Note:
The Woven Stonefly is one of the most phenomenal anchor flies I have ever fished with. The contrast of the dark back of the fly with the light belly produces very well. Unlike most rubber leg stoneflies, I do not add a pair of legs coming out of the bead and about the hook eye. This is really personal preference as it does not change the effectiveness of the fly I promise the fish won't count the number of legs ;) I choose to omit the legs after having them tangle with my tippet numerous times, anything to ensure that my flies are fishing optimally at all times in the water.
